How the dates are set
Almost every date hangs on US Thanksgiving, which is the fourth Thursday of November under a 1941 law, so it always falls between 22 and 28 November. Black Friday is the next day (23 to 29 November), Small Business Saturday the day after, Cyber Monday four days after Thanksgiving (26 November to 2 December) and Giving Tuesday five days after. Green Monday does not depend on Thanksgiving: eBay defined it as the second Monday of December, which is always between 8 and 14 December.
Because Thanksgiving moves, the season changes length. From Thanksgiving to Christmas Day is 30 days in 2027, against 29 in 2026. The longest possible gap is 33 days (Thanksgiving on 22 November) and the shortest is 27 (28 November).

- Green Monday 2027. 1 December 2027 is a Wednesday. The first Monday is 6 Dec and the second is 13 Dec, which leaves 12 days to Christmas.
Thanksgiving week and Christmas in 2027
